My name is Cosmin Gheorghita (a.k.a. Gecko) and I'm a full stack web developer.
I've been passionate about computers ever since I first laid eyes on one, at the age of 8, and since I was 13, I wanted to become a web developer, so that's when I started learning the basics. By 17, I managed to turn my dream into reality and I started working for various people on websites like 99designs.com to prove to myself that I wasn't wasting my time and that this can someday become my full time job. Now, I'm 22 and I've been a full stack web developer for over 7 years. I have lots of hands-on experience and I strive every day to learn something new and constantly better myself.
I use various languages to develop fully featured applications, from ideas to design and implementation.
Even though I do graphic design, too, which implies a rather outside the box, more flexible way of thinking, in code, I like standards and try to maintain a respectable code quality.
My main focus, when designing an application, is on the intuitive aspect of it. I believe that everything an user ought to do in said application needs to be available to them instinctively and not via complex video tutorials or extensive documentation. Just as the famous quote by Leonardo da Vinci states that "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication," I try to provide ease of use by simplifying everything I create, to the extreme.
